    Position Summary:The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing Human Resources support across designated business unit(s) to include, but not limited to, areas of employee relations, performance management, policies and procedures, and employee engagement.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide advice and counsel to members of management and employees related to employment policies, employee relations issues, and employment laws and regulations.
    • Maintain understanding and knowledge of business operations by attending meetings and being visible and available to employees and management.
    • Handle all employee relations issues in areas of responsibility including, but not limited to, reviewing/approving performance improvement plans, performance management, handling complaints and seeing them through to resolution.
    • Build partnerships with management by identifying human resource solutions that support the current and future needs of the organization.
    • Work with management, peers, and other HR colleagues to ensure consistency across the organization relating to policies and practices.
    • Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all employees receive fair and equitable treatment.
    • Provide management coaching and counseling, and career development advice for employees as needed.
    • Conduct HR training on various topics (i.e., sexual harassment, new employee orientation, supervisor policies and procedures training, interviewing skills, etc.) as needed.
    • Handle workforce planning involving re-deployment opportunities and reductions in staff.
    • Advise on compensation matters to ensure equity and fairness within the business unit.
    • Complete exit interviews to understand turnover trends and proactively implement retention strategies when applicable.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Develop, recommend, and coordinate activities, functions, or programs designed to increase employee retention and satisfaction.
    • Support and works with the talent acquisition team as needed on staffing demands.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist/Specialist.
    • In-depth experience in employee relations, performance management, training, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate group presentations.
    • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without dropping the ball.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a roll up your sleeves and win every day mentality.
    • Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
    • Detail-oriented and can focus on task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
    • Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
    • Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
    • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

    • PHR, SHRM-CP, or related designation preferred.
    • Experience in direct-to-consumer building, remodeling, and/or construction industries.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Occasional overnight travel required.

    Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:

    • Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).

    Physical Requirements:

    • Normal office environment.
    • Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
    • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
