- Sunrise LeaderAt Sunrise, our Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership support to the facilities operations. The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leader in the day to day operations directly supervising and assisting the maintenance team members as well as performing hands on maintenance tasks creating a safe, secure and inviting environment for residents, guests and team members.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties: General Maintenance Duties
_ Responsible for completing all maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor
_ Performs general maintenance duties such as:
_ Fixing wall coverings
_ Fixing floor coverings
_ Repairing furniture and fixtures
_ Performing basic plumbing work
_ Performing minor electrical repairs
_ Repairing appliances
_ Assists with painting and refurbishing projects
_ Performs minor building and equipment repairs
Conducts routine maintenance on all Sunrise vehicles as assigned
_ Maintains all tools and repair parts
_ Participates in all fire drills and in the communitys disaster preparedness program
ADA Requirements
In an 8 hour workday, team member may stand/walk:
Hours at one time: 2 - 4
Total hours / day: 6 8
In an 8 hour workday, team member may sit:
Hours at one time: 0 - 2
Total hours / day: 0 - 2
In an 8 hour workday, team member may drive:
90 minutes, one to two times a week
Team Member will support / assist: (Maximum lbs)
Frequently: 50 lbs
Occasionally: 150 lbs
_ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of
knowledge, skills and abilities required..
_ Maintains current license/certificate and/or specialized skills in at least one (or more) of the
following building trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, fire protection or mechanical.
_ Three (3) years of maintenance experience preferred.
_ Technical school education preferred.
_ Demonstrates general understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical
and code compliance.
_ Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
_ Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
_ Ability to handle multiple priorities.
_ Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
_ Competent in organizational, time management skills.
_ Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
