    About The Role - Diesel Fleet Mechanic - (Nashville, TN)

    Orica is hiring a full time Fleet Mechanic who will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of equipment to minimize downtime in delivery and service processes. This position fulfils a critical support role in the regional business by managing the Maintenance function and is accountable for the on-going support of equipment.

    What you will be doing

    • Full time Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of equipment, specifically our fleet of delivery trucks.
    • Must be proficient in working on the truck's engine and chassis.
    • Working onhydraulics, electric systems, electronics, welding, steering and suspension.

    What you will bring

    • Mechanical aptitude, ability to use shop mathematics and manual dexterity.
    • Knowledge of basic operations. Hydraulic. Electrical. Welding.
    • Familiar with computer software such as: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Internet, Lotus Notes, and SAP.
    • Reliable and dependable.
    • Ability to carry out multiple tasks throughout the site and communicate same to employees.
    • Experience with maintaining inventory of repair parts and preventative maintenance supplies.
    • Prioritization of various projects, ongoing daily tasks and high priority situations to maximize efficiency.

    Your qualifications

    • High School Diploma with Postsecondary trade or vocational school preferred.
    • Certification is a plus.
    • CDL Class B driver's license is a plus

    Compensation Range
