Logistics Analyst

Position Overview:
This position will work with the Transportation and Supply chain team and key internal (Finance, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Sourcing, etc.) and external stakeholders to provide automated analytics and reporting, as well as ad hoc requests as needed. This person will have a strong understanding of how our logistics and transportation functions as well as the technical expertise to turn data from multiple systems into key performance indicators and easy to understand metrics. In addition, this person will work across teams to collaborate and deliver analytics that support timely and cost-effective deliveries to our fulfillment centers, stores and end consumers.

What Youll Do:
- Compile, analyze and provide reporting for management pertaining to: inbound and outbound shipment costs and transit times, shipment characteristics, intercompany freight, customs duties, cargo insurance, container utilization, HTS code compliance, and other logistics data and statistics.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reporting
- Partners with teams to analyze and assess validity of quantitative and qualitative data
- Integrate broad working knowledge of logistics and transportation to create integrated technical innovations/ solutions for complex business situations
- Acquire?data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Provides recommendations & decisions which influence and impact the success of cross-functional team projects
- Work closely with internal (Finance, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Sourcing, etc.) and external (freight forwarders, shipping agents, small parcel and LTL/TL carriers, drayage, etc.) as needed to obtain and compile necessary data and information.
- Provides recommendations & decisions which influence and impact the success of cross-team initiatives
- Document requirements for collecting, integrating, and reporting business data
- Work with transportation management to?prioritize?business and information needs and align on special project needs and timelines
- Participates proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors Degree in related area of study - Equivalent work experience would be considered
2+ years of experience in data and business analytics, preferably in a supply chain logistics environment
Demonstrated experience collaborating with freight forwarders and brokers in scheduling and coordinating inbound shipments from overseas and domestic locations
Experience in utilizing warehouse (WMS) and transportation (TMS) management systems to compile and analyze logistics data and information in support of tactical and strategic planning
Experience working with small parcel and LTL/TL carrier shipments and related data, including invoice auditing
Demonstrated experience consulting with business stakeholders and providing data to assist in decision making & interpreting information from several data sources to generate new insights
Demonstrates a positive mindset, high levels of character and integrity, and a keen awareness of continuous improvement
Advises and collaborates with others to develop strong, positive working relationships across all levels of the organization to drive success of projects and efforts

Technical expertise?regarding?data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Incorta, Elevate, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI etc.),
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of databases (SQL etc.) & statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
Strong?analytical skills?with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, in addition to group/team setting.
Ability to communicate effectively with management and staff.
Solid knowledge and understanding of supply chain logistics & transportation and business analytics & data warehousing best practices

Compensation: $$58,000 - $73,000 /Year
Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
