Quality Engineer

What You Will Do:- Develop/improve inspection methods to analyze product quality.
- Improve product quality by making data-based recommendations for change.
- Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products.
- Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
- Assist Quality Management to formulate a strategic plan to increase productivity in the business.
- Lead root cause and corrective review board efforts to establish prioritized reduction plans on cost of poor quality.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with industry and ISO9001 standards.
- Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process.
- Participate or lead continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing plant related to quality, process control, material efficiency.
- Reports to the Quality Manager at the G street location.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in any of the following areas of study is preferred: engineering, chemistry, biology, physical science.
- 2 years experience in a quality control / assurance environment.
- Solid experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience (5Why, Fishbone, 8D, DMAIC, etc).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work efficiently both individually and in a team environment.
- Ability to collect and analyze data.
Preferred qualifications:
- ISO 9001 auditor certification.
- Ion exchange manufacturing experience.
- LIMS experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC).
