Lab Technician - 2nd Shift

Shift and Hours:

M - F, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Job Purpose

Responsible for carrying out various lab procedures/tests and running lab equipment to ensure products meet specification, as well as food safety and quality requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

General Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

1. Shall have attended a Chemical Safety Training session within the past 12 months.
2. Shall have attended GMP, FSMA, Food Defense Awareness, and AllergenTraining.
3. Shall meet all requirements of the SQFProgram.
4. Shall comply with all GMPRequirements.
5. Shall comply with all requirements for Personal Protective Equipmentas defined by appropriate plantprocedures.
6. Shall comply with all Safety Rules andPolicies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lab Technician Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Technician shall be trained in all laboratory procedures that are utilized in the operation in regards to both food safety andquality.
2. The Technician shall be trained and qualified to operate the Laboratory Equipment including Calibration Techniques for each piece of equipment utilized in the Food Safety and QualityProgram.
3. Technician shall be fully trained and qualified in the appropriate methods of testing as perprocedure.
4. All testing results will be entered in the appropriate log and signed by the Technician.
5. Technician shall follow all GMP, Safety and WorkPolicies
6. Technician is to notify immediate supervisor when deviations occur.
