    Birth Center Assistant Nurse Director

    An exciting opening for the Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager just became available in the East Bay region in California.

    The Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager will join this 200+ beds award winning facility that has earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval, as well as four star rating for Maternity Care from the Leapfrog hospital survey. The L&D Nurse Manager will join a health system that offers continual growth and opportunity to develop throughout ones career.

    Reporting to the Director of Women and Children, the L&D Nurse Manager will oversee a busy unit with State-of- the-art birthing beds, private labor and delivery rooms and family-centered postpartum rooms. The Nurse Manager will be supported by a team of outstanding charge nurses, staff nurses, CNAs, and some of the regions top midwives and OBGYNs who support complex pregnancies.

    The Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting the staff's ability to meet patient needs. This will include developing and supporting educational initiatives, serving as a mentor to new leaders, and being a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The L&D Nurse Manager will also take on administrative duties in the department, including oversight and maintenance of the budget, recruitment and retention of staff, and this person will serve as the operations liaison.
