Position Summary: The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation, oversight, and management of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves coordinating with internal teams, managing external audit interactions, and developing financial policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and footnotes included within quarterly and annual financial statements, including organizing and referencing supporting documentation.
- Prepare MD&A included within quarterly and annual financial statements, including organizing and referencing supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with other financial reporting and accounting personnel in preparation of external reports and necessary filings
- Coordinate with external auditors to assist with their audit of financial statements.
- Create and maintain monthly/quarterly calendars and checklists to inform parties of necessary responsibilities and related deadlines.
- Ensure proper application of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and compliance with related internal controls framework and financial policies.
- Tie out lender materials, such as earnings call scripts and presentations, to ensure accuracy and consistency with financial reporting disclosures.
- Develop, implement, and continuously update a comprehensive set of financial policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Work with appropriate personnel to document and implement new accounting standards and transactions.
- Responsible for maintenance and testing, as required, of Sarbanes-Oxley controls surrounding financial reporting.
- Assist with the financial close process.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare quarterly flux analysis and various ad hoc analyses.
- Special projects, as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
- 8+ years of finance experience, including 6+ years in public accounting.
- Solid understanding of US GAPP and internal controls.
- Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite, NSPB systems, and Smart View functionality.
- Ability to evaluate accuracy and reasonableness of financial information.
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis.
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without dropping the ball.

- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:
- Experience in Public Accounting strongly preferred.
- CPA strongly preferred.

- Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).
Physical Requirements:
- Normal office environment.
- Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
