    Overview:

    Hiring Immediately! Pactiv Evergreen Manteno, Il.

    Production Day Team Lead

    Shift : 7:00am to 7:00pm

    2 Days on, 2 days off every other weekend

    Pay Rate: $35.50 to $40.25

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supervises and coordinates the activities of production workers and processes on a specified work shift.

    • Ensures safe work environment and practices on the shift.
    • Directs hourly production personnel in the manufacture and packaging of plastic sheet products.
    • Reviews production orders and schedules machines to meet customer requirements.
    • Monitors product quality and directs adjustments as necessary.
    • Trouble shoots production issues to identify equipment failures or problems.
    • Supervision of workforce to include: Operational training, work output, and assist with Performance evaluations.
    • Responsible for training and development of all reporting personnel.
    • 5S and ABS initiatives (PBS).
    • Other tasks as assigned by management.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This position supervises: 1 RPS, 3 OPS Operators, 2 Cast Operators, 7 Winders, 2 Repel Operators, 2 Slitter Operators, and up to 3 Grinders.

    EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Bachelors degree preferred
    • 1-3 years supervisory experience

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • This position requires the ability to walk for more then 2/3 of the time, and the ability to stand, sit, talk and hear, use hands, handle or feel, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell for up to 1/3 of the time.
    • This position requires the ability to be able to lift up to 50 pounds for up to 1/3 of the time.
    • This position requires regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
    • This position requires PPE to be worn based on the task being performed.
    • This position requires the ability to work periodic weekend and evenings/nighttime work schedules.
    • This position requires the ability to work in moderate to loud noise level areas (examples: business office with typewriters and/or computer printers, light traffic to metal can manufacturing, department, large earth-moving equipment).
    • This position requires the following vision abilities:
      • Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
      • Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
      • Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
      • Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
      • Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
      • Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

    Built in 1988, this owned site sits on 13+ acres, manufactures OPS, HIPS & MFPP sheet, and has approximately 110 employees working.This operation runs 24/7 and can produce 98M lbs. of sheet annually.
