Position Title: Assembly 1st Shift

Wage: $15.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)


QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Assembly position in Keosauqua, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Visually inspect metal for imperfections.

- Assemble kits for refrigeration units.

- Assemble refrigeration units per quality standards and work order instructions.

- Performs any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools.

- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners.

- Utilize electrical testing equipment.

- Work at a different workstation as production needs require.

- Identify parts used on their assigned product line, and their placement location on the product itself.

- Maintain work area in clean, safe, and orderly manner.

- Read blueprints, schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed.

- Cut bend, braze specified tubing to inlets and outlets of components to form liquid and suction lines of refrigeration systems.

- Remove air from the system and charge system with specified amount and type of refrigerant.

- Conduct pre-startup checks on all equipment.

- Read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Assembly Requirements:

- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. throughout shift.

- Must be able to work in a hot environment.

- Must be able to work lying down, standing, or while sitting.

- Must be able to complete fast paced hand eye movements.

- Previous experience in electrical, carpentry, or refrigeration types of work a plus.

- The ability to read blueprints or a work order is required.

- Basic skills of handheld power tools and measurement devices.

- Ability to write and verbally communicate with other employees and supervisor.
