Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring the highest quality of nursing care is provided to patients.
- Lead and inspire a team of talented nurses, providing guidance and support to promote professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of excellence and patient-centered care, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Monitor and manage unit budget, resources, and supplies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other nursing leaders to develop and implement strategic goals and initiatives.
- Promote and maintain effective communication and collaboration among healthcare providers, patients, and families.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skill mix.
- Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an acute care setting.
- Proven track record of successful management, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Strong knowledge of progressive care nursing practices, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
