Senior Training Specialist
Description
The Leidos Defense Group has openings for Training Team Members (specialists and Manager) for the AF DCGS EPS program in Newport News VA.
This position is part of a large Military Intelligence Program supporting the USAF Air Combat Commands Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS). The Leidos Defense Group provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Solutions for Defense include enterprise and mission IT, large-scale intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial and data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence analysis and operations support. Our team is solving the worlds toughest security challenges for customers with cant fail missions. From scanning for illicit material at ports and borders to predicting future events and instability up to five years in advance, our products help customers make the world safer.
This is for a proposal. We are expecting award and funding of these positions in February 2024.
This position requires a TS/SCI Clearance and does not allow for remote work.
Some Primary Role/Duties
- Records database maintain proficiency in relevant training records management system.
- Loads training plan for each AFSC within Unit
- Keeps Supervisors, Flight Chiefs accountable to training reqs and deadlines.
- Supports all training: Initial, Qualification, Continual, & Deployment
- The applicant will manage and direct personnel and activities supporting DCGS training activities for all contractor and subcontractor personnel supporting the DCGS EPS program.
- Schedules personnel for training needed to meet mission performance requirements.
- Analyzes training needs and developing programs to address them; evaluating third party training providers; developing lesson plans and training materials; and managing delivery of internal and externally-provided training.
- Documents the training that has been satisfactorily completed, maintains training folders for all personnel, ensures that curriculum is adhered to on a regular basis.
- Supports development, maintenance, and execution of mission certification and continuation training.
Requirements will vary based on the level, but will basically require:
- BA degree or higher in an Education or related Training field of study.
- 3-10 years of prior relevant experience.
- TS/SCI clearance
- Must have ability to effectively organize and analyze information, produce professional reports, position papers, briefings, and decision documents.
- Experience using relevant AF systems and databases.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
