Position Overview

The Ins id e S al e s Repr es entative assists with new and existing customer sal es and provi d es product support to outside sal es repr es entativ es . This position provi d es quot es and product dimension information, both in person and over the phone.

Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Es sential Job Duti es

• R es pond to customer inquiri es regarding product selection, placement of orders, pric es and quotations, complaints, and scheduling of deliveri es and ins tallations.
• Initiate telephone calls to customers to generate sal es .
• Obtain orders from customers and sal es repr es entativ es ; enter work order, credit return, return authorization, pick ticket, and service requ es t ; file paperwork accordingly.
• Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products. Obta ins information on pricing specifications, us es and availability.
• Manage schedul es for project by coordinating with outside sal es , jobsit es , and assigned customers.
• Check on back orders and r es olve any outstanding issu es ; solve billing problems and compile data for closing.
• Handl es special orders and advanced pricing; assist with pricing and special price lists.
• Develop and grow prof es sional relationships with customers.
• R es olve jobsite issu es and customer problems.
• Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duti es as assigned by location management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abiliti es

• Minimum education required - High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum experience required - 1 year in building material industry with basic knowledge of product and application. 1+ years Ins id e S al e s experience preferred.
• Special skills required - Ability to operate computer, calculator & cash register. Knowledge of building suppli es , applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry. Good interpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Should be familiar with inventory and inventory control.
• Must be able to walk throughout yards, plants, and offic es .
• Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending or stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
