The Nurse Educator NICU will work for an organization that strives to deliver accessible, affordable, quality health care to everyone.

    The NICU Nurse Educator will work closely with the Director of NICU, Director of Professional Development and specialists to develop evidence-based guidelines, policies and procedures, identify learning needs of the unit to create curriculum and programs offered to new hires and current department staff, and coordinate new hire orientation. Additionally, the Nurse Educator will cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other nurse leaders and educators, update policy procedures, ensure state and regulatory compliance is maintained throughout the unit, and ultimately be a resource and mentor to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit NICU team.

    The Nurse Educator NICU will be a registered nurse with a strong Level 3 or Level 4 Neonatal ICU background. Additionally, the Nurse Educator should have prior Nurse Educator, Clinical Instructor, Professional Practice Specialist, Education Specialist, Clinical Nurse Specialist or recent preceptor experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit NICU at an acute care hospital. Ideally, the Nurse Educator will be masters prepared or currently enrolled in their masters program.
