    Mechanic, A&P - Falcon

    POSITION OVERVIEW/JOB DUTIES:

    • Removes and reinstalls engines from turbofan and turboprop powered corporate aircraft.
    • Performs operational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness prior to aircraft departure.
    • Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals.
    • Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (a.k.a. 'squawks').
    • Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems as required (i.e. hydraulics, landing gear, etc.).
    • Document all work accomplished (a.k.a. 'sign-off') in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
    • Reinstall and test components after completed inspection.
    • May perform fuel tank sealing on aircraft.
    • Complete service bulletins and air-worthiness directives as required on corporate aircraft.
    • Employ safe practices at all times and participate in general Hangar housekeeping.
    • May perform other duties as required by the Department.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid FAA-authorized Airframe and Powerplant License. Must be appropriately certificated in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience as an A&P mechanic in the corporate aviation industry. Dassault Falcon experience desired.


    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; stand a minimum of 8 hours per day and walk long distances; bend, stretch, crawl, and climb ladders in order to work on areas within the aircraft that are difficult to access.
    • Must be able to work outside in extremes of temperature and inclement weather.
    • Think clearly, logically, and analytically.
    • Write and speak clearly and intelligibly.
