Human Resources Generalist
Position Title: Human Resources Generalist
Wage: Based on Experience
QPS Employment Group has a great HR Generalist position available at a company in Fairfield, IA. This is a direct hire opportunity.
HR Generalist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in designing, implementing, and administering of policies, including answering inquiries regarding policies.
- Develop programs, implement best HR practices, provide overall input on HR issues.
- Support the Companys talent acquisition strategy including, sourcing applicants, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding employees.
- Assist managers and employees access and use HR self-service tools to maximize utilization and efficiencies.
- Responsible for benefits administration, including but not limited to billing reconciliation, employees coverage inquiries and benefit contributions associated with leaves of absence.
- Contact person for benefit carriers and other related general functions.
- Coordinate the designation and case management of leave absence and workers compensation claims.
- Partners and collaborates with the Safety Department regarding management and or accommodations of work-related and ADA cases.
- Support maintain and help optimize the HRIS applications and modules.
- Ensures data integrity, maintaining databases and running queries.
- Create data reports, summaries and logs for HR and senior executives.
- Under the guidance of the HR Director, support the design, planning and implementation of the performance management process and employee development programs.
- Other projects may include detail work with HR data collection and reporting activities, data analysis and communication.
- Handle confidential information in a professional manner, respecting employee privacy while maintaining company confidentiality.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
HR Generalist Requirements:
- Advance knowledge of HRIS (Workforce Now).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Strong collaborative mindset and ability to plan, monitor and appraise results.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Ability to use creative thinking skills to solve problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or Industrial Organizational Psychology industrial or related field preferred.
- Minimum six (6) years of experience as HR Generalist with 8+ years of demonstrated progressive experience in the field preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
