Responsibilities- Render direct patient care and imaging services in a safe manner
- Responsible for all aspects of the Radio pharmacy to include dose preparation, administration, and disposal
- Utilize various pieces of imaging equipment throughout the hospital, and perform quality control of each
- Use various hospital computer systems to include but not limited to NMIS, PACS, RIS as part of normal day-to-day activities
- Maintain and document all records as required by NRC and DEP
- Operate each gamma camera with confidence and competence
- Assist physician in performing procedures, and computer enhancement of images
- Utilize aseptic techniques, and demonstrate ability to perform intravenous injections
- Consult with patients to obtain a complete clinical history
- Monitor and record all radioactive materials received in the department for leakage or damage
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
QualificationsJob Requirements
- Must be a graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- NJDEP license
- ARRT or NMTCB registry
- BLS certification
Preferred Job Requirements
- 5+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Experience with PET/CT
