About Us: A reputable, 500 patient bed medical center in El Paso County is seeking a seeking a skilled and passionate Assistant Director of Labor and Delivery RN to join their team and contribute to their mission of delivering excellence in maternal care. Position Overview: As the Assistant Director of Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, this nursing leader will play a pivotal role in managing the labor and delivery department with this medical center. As Labor and Delivery Assistant Director, this individual will collaborate closely with the Director of Maternal Child Care to ensure the highest standards of patient care, maintain a positive work environment, and enhance overall departmental efficiency. An Assistant Director of Labor and Delivery with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for maternal health, would be warmly welcomed to be a part of this dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Labor and Delivery department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
- Support and lead a team of skilled healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement best practices for maternal care.
- Monitor and maintain adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and patient safety.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and experiences within the department.
- Coordinate educational programs and training sessions for staff to stay updated with the latest developments in labor and delivery care.
- Assist in budgetary and financial planning for the department.
- Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree preferred) with current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with proven leadership and management capabilities.
- Knowledge of current trends, technologies, and evidence-based practices in labor and delivery care.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to labor and delivery care.
- Proven commitment to patient-centered care and fostering a culture of compassion and respect.
