    Leidos is seeking a Windows System Administrator to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSAs Digital Modernization Strategy.     • Troubleshoot onsite/remote user issues related to file share and data access using problem-solving and customer service skills.
    • Perform Windows administration tasks including account creation, user and group assignment, and mailbox monitoring.
    • Conduct diagnostic analysis and debugging for user issues involving server access, NFS share folders, data migration, and privilege granting.
    • Manage configuration and daily operations of multiple shared drives.
    • Assist users in accessing IT systems across various domains.
    • Handle backup and restoration of shared drives, personal drives, and servers.
    • Provide customer support across various communication channels (tickets, mailboxes, or diagnostic reports) including escalation support and communicate outage status.
    • Deliver detailed feedback on escalated tickets to management and internal customers.
    • Create technical documentation and administer Confluence or SharePoint sites.
    • Brief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at appropriate technical level for audience.
    • All other duties as assigned or directed.

    FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS(Basic Qualifications)

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
    • Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
    • 4+ years of combined experience providing technical support for Distributed File System, NTFS, and Share Permissions
    • 4+ years of combined experience providing technical support for Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022), and Microsoft Active Directory.
    • 2+ years of experience provide remote user customer support.

    *** Selected candidatemust reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MDOR be willing to relocate prior to first day of employment

    FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE(Required Skills)

    These skills will help you succeed in this position:

    • Hands-on experience administering/troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022)
    • Proficiency in using incident ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, HP Service Manager, Jira)
    • Solid experience with Active Directory for user and group management, and problem diagnose/resolution using ADUC.
    • Experience with Windows NTFS, Share Permissions, and Distributed File System.
    • Experience monitoring system alerts and resolving software and hardware issues.
    • Experience providing technical support and customer service directly to users.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD(Desired Skills)

    Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

    • Basic understanding of MECM/SCCM and imaging process
    • Experience implementing Microsoft Windows patches and security controls.
    • Experience with PowerShell, Command Shell commands, Robocopy.
    • Experience restoring files using Backup Exec.
    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or CompTIA Server+ certification.
    • Working knowledge of Veritas NetBackup Software.
    • Working knowledge of Microsofts OneDrive.
    • Experience working with government or highly regulated customers

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
