    Where You Will Work
    Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.

    Who You Are
    The successful candidate will: Looking for a highly motivated bench mechanic with an aerospace background, for 2nd shift.

    Position
    • Primary duties are to Build and Prepare tube assemblies for Weld and braze process.
    • Contour assemblies to Fixture and Layouts to meet customer print dimensions.
    • Follow Customer Specification's to ensure quality parts are manufactured.

    Job Description
    • Prep tubes for assembly functions example, contour, rough trim, finish trim, clean tube ends and fittings.
    • Using a metal cutting chop saw for rough cuts.
    • Assemble tube details for braze and welding, ensuring proper fitment and alignment using layout fixture.
    • Follow and understand Blueprint/work instructions/DOA
    • Contour assemblies to layout fixtures to meet blueprint dimensions.
    • Follow all quality measures and notify supervisor about any potential issues.
    • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
    • Set up tube bench trimmer and maintain as needed.
    • Set up a tube Swager to ensure dimensions are correct.
    • Be able to work efficiently and be dependable.
    • Must be able to work within a team environment and work well with others.
    • Willingness to work other departments as needed.

    Key Skills
    • Knowledge of precision measuring tools, Caliper's, Protractors, Tape measures, scales, and Micrometer's
    • Blueprint reading Focus on quality control and dimensions.
    • Dexterity and hand eye coordination with the ability to manipulate, grasp and assemble parts large and small.
    • Use and knowledge of basic hand tools.
    • Basic Math skills Must include Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, Geometry and Algebra
    • Mechanically inclined and experience in metal fabrication
    • Must be able to stay focused and stay on task.
    • Ability to follow work instructions and customer specs.
    • Ability to stand for 8 hours and use bench vise.
    • Work in a safe manner


    Candidate Requirements
    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Experience reading blueprints
    • Read and understand written instructions Experience using precision gauging equipment such as micrometers, tape measures, calipers, and indicators
    • 3-5 years bench assembly experience
    • Prefer aerospace manufacturing experience

    Education:
    High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

    Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
