2nd Shift Maintenance Technician I

Monday through Thursday 4:30pm to 3:00am (Plus Overtime)
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, your role will be both challenging and rewarding. You will:
- Utilize a wide range of tools and equipment, including electrical meters, hand tools, power tools, torches, welders, forklifts, aerial lifts, overhead cranes, and computer equipment.
- Apply your knowledge of pumps, welders, punches, presses, shears, cranes, hoists, conveyors, and small pneumatic and electrical hand tools.
- Tackle equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative measures on manufacturing and maintenance shop equipment.
- Set up machines and fixtures for production, ensuring seamless operations.
- Operate overhead cranes and other lifting devices with precision.
- Read and interpret prints and schematics, providing essential technical support.
- Manage maintenance inventory efficiently and utilize a comprehensive maintenance database.
- Perform basic welding and torch work with precision and care.
- Execute tasks in a safe, efficient, and highly productive manner, consistently following company policies.
- Collaborate closely with your team to produce high-quality products that meet our standards.
- Maintain your personal set of tools required for performing maintenance tasks.
- Be flexible and open to working overtime when necessary, contributing to our shared success.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent, based on your education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Experience with mechanical and hydraulic press brakes and a strong mechanical background.
- A willingness to work at a fast pace, adapt to new challenges, and share valuable insights regarding work methods and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using a multi-meter, computer, and basic prints/schematics experience.
- Ability to operate the tools and equipment listed in the essential functions for this position.
- Willingness and capacity to learn Lean Concepts and their relevance to Maintenance/Production.
- Strong skills in reading and understanding blueprints, operator manuals, and maintenance manuals.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, facilitating clear and concise information exchange.
- Basic math skills, especially fractions.
Training:
We are committed to your success and will provide you with comprehensive training, including:
- Orientation
- Company-provided training such as LOTO Training, Utility/Golf Cart Training, Aerial Lifts Boom, Scissor Lift, Manlift Training.
- Additional training opportunities may include Arc Flash and other relevant courses.
