Position Title: Machine Operator

Wage: $18-$24/hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd

Hours: 5:30am-3:30pm, 3:30pm-1:30am


We're hiring a Machine Operator at a great company in Port Washington, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity.

Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Operate press safely and effectively to meet standard rates, coil changes, and minor adjustments as defined by work instructions

- Adhere to defined quality procedures to ensure quality parts through the use and care of defined measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and optical comparator; no final inspection

- May provide direction/help to Production Helpers during run

- Assist in the machine setup process; no lock out tag out

- Perform basic material handling duties with the use of manual pallet jack to move material, dies, and stage parts; will operate a crane to load and unload raw materials, once trained

- Maintain equipment thru weekly preventative maintenance tasks and submit timely maintenance work orders

Machine Operator Requirements:

- High school diploma or general education (GED) and 3-6 months of prior relevant manufacturing experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience

- Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals

- Able to utilize computer and input data

- Ability to accurately measure a manufactured part using basic metrology equipment (i.e. caliper, micrometer)

- Ability to interpret part prints

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, specifications, and memos

- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other employees of the organization

- Lift and/or move up to 50lbs-50% of shift

- Push and/or pull

- Standing 100% of shift
