    Our successfulPastry Chef will lead and operate 3 bakery kitchens (student dining, conference center and catering) - and WOW our clientele in high end catering. This Hands On Pastry Chef will train and develop 3-4 bakers. The Executive Pastry Chef will work collaboratively with the campus dining team to create bakery and desserts for residence dining, retail, teach baking classes and audit all bakery displays.

    Can you bring the WOW factor to our students, while managing all pastry and baking for our high-profile catering? Other key competencies include: The passion to serve great food while managing food costs within budget; and maintaining Food safety and sanitation. Successful candidates are highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    The ideal candidate will have the following preferred qualifications and experience:

    • 2+ years of experience as Pastry Chef for high volume dining and high end catering.
    • Strong leadership ability and successful supervisory background
    • Proven Culinary knowledge: purchasing, inventory, production schedules and Food & Beverage Cost controls
    • Passion for food and innovation
    • Ability to think out of the box
    • Excellent Computer Skills, experience placing weekly orders and managing the Food Management Software

    • Manage the daily food production including production planning and controls
    • Experience creating innovative menus with demonstrated best practices for increasing the student/customer experience
    • Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
    • Have the ability and willingness to develop and train frontline employees
    • Enjoy interacting with clients, students, faculty;
    • Have knowledge of special diets and allergens

    Targeted Salary range is : $ 56,700 - $62,000 - plus extensive benefits and opportunity to further grow your career with a global company!

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Basic Education Requirement -Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
