A high school diploma or equivalent is required and 3+ years of experience welding in a custom build shop is preferred for this position.

The Welder is responsible for producing highly engineered, custom-built mobile material handling machinery for rail related markets by using mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assembly techniques as well as welding, and hitching on overhead cranes and jibs.

Pay: up to $25.00/hour based off shift, experience, and location

Hours: 1^st shift positions available

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and follow standard work, BOMs, blueprints, routings, specifications, and other diagrams / instructions to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion
• Complete quality and production paperwork
• Handle material, tools, and equipment manually or with jib crane, perform own hitching as required
• Ability to layout, cut, and fit parts as required to weld in place
• Rebuild, clean, repair, disassemble, reassemble, spray paint parts, and adjust machine as necessary
• Consistently maintain high quality standards and levels of productivity as determined by management
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations - maintain housekeeping standards
• Support continuous improvement and 5S events, and adhere to quality management systems

Skill Requirements:

• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and reach for 8-10 hours
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Operate industrial machinery and hand-held power tools as required
• Read and follow written instructions and visual training aids
• Work in a team environment and be flexible when production needs change
• Work environment temperature may vary based on task and location
