Overview:Were looking for aDirector of Palliative Care - Nurse Practitionerto join our team.
You will report directly to the VP of Palliative Care. You will be responsible for the overall clinical and financial operations of the Palliative Care Program.May facilitate palliative care for Kindred Palliative care patients, ensuring a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan, while demonstrating excellent clinical skills and ethical, relevant judgement. Provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow up under the direction of the Palliative Medical Director (if required under State law).
- Establish, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for palliative care that meet and promote high standards of quality clinical care and sound financial success
- Meet growth and development targets, both clinically and financially, at the branch level
- Manage all expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Companys budget
- Responsible for the employment of qualified palliative care personnel and the provision of palliative care services and the delegation and coordination of branch personnel evaluations
- Establish and maintain standards of high quality care and customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
- Minimum of Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing, or an equivalent as allowed under state law
- Minimum of two years Nurse Practitioner experience
- Nurse Practitioner specialty in Family or Adult Medicine preferred
- Able to work autonomously in an Advanced Practice Role
- Minimum of 2 years health care administration/operations management required
- Prior experience with budgetary responsibilities including budget development and monitoring required
- Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and Commercial insurance billing and reimbursement
