Hours:3:00pm 11:00pm (Monday Friday) or 11:00pm 7:00am (Sunday Thursday)

CNC Operator Responsibilities:

- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

- Plan stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock, placing and expediting orders for stock and verifying receipt of stock

- Configure mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry and proving part programs

- Load machine with work pieces

- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample work pieces

- Maintain specifications by observing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, editing programs, sharpening and replacing worn tools and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes

- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

- Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity and quality

- Maintain equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements

- Document actions by completing required paper and/or electronic logs

Requirements for CNC Operator:

- Excellent work history and longevity

- Previous experience with CNC machines

- Math, geometry and trigonometry experience
