Job Summary and Qualifications

The Neuro Science Department at Johnston-Willis Hospital:

• Patient Population includes- Complicated Neuro-Surgical Procedures that include Brain and Spine, Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Strokes, Neuro-Interventional and Endovascular Procedures, Brain Tumor and Gamma Knife Treatment etc...

• A supportive culture focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialtycertification. Leaders on this unit have a passion for supporting nurses in reaching their professional goals, excellent practice, and collegial relationships

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

• Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing from a school of professional nursing (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (required)
• • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of one year experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting (Preferred)
• Minimum two years experience as an RN (Preferred)
