Remedy Staffing is Hiring an Accounting Manager for a Manufacturing Client in Des Moines, IA!

Starting Pay: $20.00-$24.00 / hour

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Accounting ManagerDuties:

• Manages customer invoicing, accounts payable functions, and inventory accounting (shipments, receipts, etc)
• Manages time entry and payroll
• Manages and prepares monthly forecasting and variance analysis
• Prepares the month-end close entries including accruals, reclassifications and adjustment of entries
• Reconciles revenue for the P&L statement
• Reviews expenses
• Prepares annual budget
• Maximizes accounting system capabilities to improve the business operations, productivity and profitability.
• Reviews costing of finished goods and intermediate products to compare cost analysis to the contracted quotes
• Analyzes cost swings
• Performs financial analysis on the plant's overall performance
• Tracks and submits capital projects for closure to corporate accounting
• Responsible for training of plant accounting staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting
• CPA or MBA is preferred
• Five plus years exp in accounting or finance
