    UX Strategist - Mobile Strategy and Design

    As a UX Strategist, you will champion user experiences that satisfy client needs and drive the business forward. You will shape the strategic vision and provide input on every aspect of UX, from research and concept to information architecture and UI design. You will partner with product and technology leads to establish, execute and convey the vision for the next generation of native experiences at Vanguard.

    This role:

    • Creates user experience interface architecture strategies, and leads program-level initiatives to meet business and marketing goals. Leverages research, conceptualization, visual design, information architecture to resolve complex issues.

    • Works with cross-divisional teams to coordinate and deliver design, prototype, and documentation to improve the user experience. Presents and recommends solutions to senior leaders, internal partners, and stakeholders.

    • Researches the latest technology and devices including programming languages, network infrastructure, processes, web and mobile application development to produce efficient interactive solutions.

    • Uses qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience. Analyzes data and user feedback in order to make critical design decisions.

    • Collaborates with cross-divisional teams and product owners to define user and business requirements. Partners with the development team through to execution.

    • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

    The Retail Client Experience and Digital strategic priority aims to provide Vanguard clients with a best-in-class experience that reflects intelligent, purposeful design. We take a client-centric approach by orienting around journeys a clients end-to-end experience when performing a certain task - while demonstrating human-centered design and rapid experimentation to create digital experiences that exceed expectations


    What it takes:

    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in a creative or technical field. Graduate degree preferred.

    • Minimum five years industry/field experience.

    • Interactive web design experience.

    • Expert in all areas of user experience design (information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototype engineering, content, user experience).

    • A high degree of creativity, empathy, passion, and problem-solving ability.

    • In-depth knowledge of market research, competitive landscape, and test methods (A/B, multivariate testing). Experience using data (both quantitative and qualitative) analysis techniques to inform design.


    Specializations thatll make an impact:

    • Proven experience solving complex communication problems and crafting world-class experiences for large-scale programs.

    • Expert communication skills (storytelling and visualization) and the ability to get buy-in on those ideas within a large organization.

    • A deep understanding of user experience design (architecture, design, development and analysis).

    • Proven ability to lead a team and program level initiatives to success.

    • Ability to turn failures into successes.

    Special Factors: This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays- Thursdays required in our offices and Mondays and Fridays remote.
