    Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - Registered Nurse

    Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

    Experience:

    24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience is required.

    Experience with Cerner is preferred.

    Requirements:

    Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license prior to placement start.

    This role will require floating to multiple units

    Candidates must live at least 60 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

    Scheduling:

    Shift Hours: 36/48

    Weekend rotation: Every other weekend, may work back to back weekends (rare)

    Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy

    Holiday Expectations: This does not mean they will automatically be scheduled for those dates, but we will not contractually guarantee to being off prior to arrival.

    Christmas and New Years: 12/22 1/1

    Approval of time off? Can we approve up to 7 days off on your behalf? Yes, excluding provided blackout dates

    Schedule cycle: 6 weeks

    Floating:

    Any like unit/patient location (MS-MS, MS-ICU task, MS-ER/MS holds; ICU-ICU, ICU-MS task or limit of 3, ICU-ER/ICU holds)

    Skills required:

    Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes with at least 2-years experience and Cerner OR EPIC experience.

    General Cardiac - Vent care, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titrations, arterial line, IABP, Impella, EKOS, CRRT, Chest tube, Swan ganz catheter, FloTrac monitoring, titratable drip management, hypothermia protocol

    CVICU - Swan ganz catheters, arterial lines, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tubes, CRRT, medication titration, IABP, Impella, EKOS, vent management, Tandem Life/Tandem Lung

    MICU - ART lines, trach care, chest tubes, vasopressor usage, sedation usage, central lines

    Neuro ICU - Trach care/maintenance, art line, vent/ETT, EVD, ICP monitoring (can teach)

    Surgical ICU - Trach care, art line, chest tube, wound care, drip management (pressors and sedation); CRRT preferred.

    Scrub Color: Any

    No RTO will be allowed on the following dates.
    Labor day weekend: 9/2-9/4
    Halloween: 10/30-31
    Thanksgiving: 11/22-25
    Christmas and New Years: 12/23-26 and 12/31-1/1

    Block scheduling requests must be submitted with application for consideration. You will still be required to work scheduled holidays regardless of if it is on the assigned blocked days.

    Maximum days off: 10 days
