    Emergency Department - Registered Nurse

    Experience:

    12 months of role experience is required.

    12 months of Emergency Department experience is required.

    18 months of travel experience is required.

    Experience with Epic is preferred.

    Requirements:

    Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license prior to placement start.

    This role will require floating to multiple units

    Candidates must live at least 100 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

    COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

    Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

    Additional Details:

    Guaranteed Hour: 36

    Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? 2 years general experience required 1 year must be ED experience

    Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler

    Patient Types:

    Traveler will float routinely between the ER and Med/Surg units will need to be ED level RN

    Emergency Department all ages:

    Diagnoses include: Stroke, MI, Trauma, Sepsis, Septic Shock, GSW (1 over last 6 years)

    Outpatient infusions

    Required Education:

    Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

    Skills required:

    RN: Ability to float routinely between ED and Med/Surg is a MUST; IV Skills, general ED experience, Central line management, Cardiac drips with titration, comfortability with nebulizer treatments and high flow O2, ability to mix own medication via video conference with pharmacy

    Floating: If yes, where?

    RN: Routinely between ED and Med/Surg will need to be ED level RN

    Scheduling:

    Weekend rotation: every other

    Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? During Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

    Holiday Expectations: Every other

    Approval of time off? will be discussed during interview

    Scrub Color: Navy Blue

    PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
