Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school is fully endowed, with the resources to ensure every child and staff member has what they need to succeed. The school has prepared over 11,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students in the coming years. MHS is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join the Psychological Services team to support 2,000 plus students from low-income families.

Mental health decisions include: assess psychopathology; assess suicide and lethality risk; assess inappropriate sexual behavior incidents; serve as a mandated reporter to Children and Youth Services; recommend hospitalization of a student, if needed; intervene to advocate for the safety of the student on campus and in the home community; determine the nature of psychological services to be delivered; develop and implement a treatment plan for each student on the caseload; and monitor treatment progress.

The psychologist also provides regular consultation services including the provision of leadership, education, and recommendations to staff and parent/sponsors on issues pertaining to the psychological care of students. This position also emphasizes consultation and collaboration with Home-life, Scholastic, Health Services, Administrators, outside agencies, and Parents/Sponsors. Training and staff development are additional services provided by the psychologist.
