      Job Summary and Qualifications

      The Registered Nurse performs the active nursing process consisting of the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients.

      Active case management of the patients healthcare process

      Perform duties and responsibilities of all lesser included jobs

      Perform other duties as assigned

      Assumes the role as Team Leader to serve as a clinical resource in the application and adherence of hospital policies and procedures, as well as standards of care in the provision and supervision of patient care using the nursing process

      Promotes quality patient care ensuring patient care meets all national, corporate, and hospital quality standards of care

      Manages Structural Heart Records as follows:

      Identify/request diagnostic images from outside facilities

      Coordinate courier pickup for diagnostic image CDs

      Upload diagnostic images to vendor specific sites

      Download diagnostic imaging from PACS

      Review pre-op labs and report abnormal to physicians

      Ensure CV Surgical consult(s) are on chart prior to procedure

      Track follow-up dates on all applicable patients and collect notes from physician offices

      Ensure completion of HCA TAVR, TEER, TMVI, and LAAO NCD/LCD worksheets

      Calculate STS Pre-op Risk Score

      Complete pre-op KCCQ form

      Complete 5 meter/6 meter walk tests with patient as applicable

      Manages TVT and LAAO Registry Data Submission

      Maintain case lists for abstractors

      Validate reconciliation sheets from abstractors

      Collect and Enter follow-up records from MD offices into TVT and LAAO site as applicable

      Prepare and submit quarterly harvest for submission based on data schedule, as applicable

      Chairs the Structural Heart Team Meetings

      Track meeting attendance

      Maintain meeting minutes

      Organizes bi-monthly meetings

      Prepares and present reports to HCA leadership, quality committees, and stakeholders

      Performs mortality reviews when necessary

      Researches best practices

      Performs staff and patient education

      Manages and maintains research studies/clinical trials, as applicable

      Performs other duties as assigned

      • infection control and safety management programs
    Education:
        • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
        • Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required.
        • Specialty Certification where required; example: Chemotherapy; ACLS; PALS; CPR required.
        • Complies with hospital employee health, infections control and safety management programs.

      License/ Certifications:

      Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada required

      Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required

      Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required

      CCRN preferred

      Independently maintains license

      Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice

      Experience:

      Current cardiology/cardiovascular nursing experience required

      Minimum of two years experience in acute care hospital

      Minimum of two years recent critical care clinical nursing experience required
