• Demonstrate knowledge of conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for unit specific populations
• Continually assess patients physical, physiological, social, and educational needs to determine level and type of care.
• Develope, prioritize and maintain patient plan of care to include patient problems, goals, interventions
• Implement plan of care baces on patient acuity, identified needs, and physician orders
• Administer medications and treatments effectively and skillfully
• Demonstrate safe and effective use of all unit equipment
• Demonstrate competence in managing potential patient risks; falls, isolation, infant security
• Effectively evaluates the outcome of interventions and implements necessary changes to plan of care
• Collaborates with other health professionals in the management of health care
• Documents assessments, interventions (including use of supplies and equipment) and outcomes of care accurately, objectively, and timely
• Demonstrates knowledge of patients rights. Serves as an advocate for patients/families regarding decisions affecting their plan of care. Has knowledge of process for resolution of ethical dilemmas.

Job Requirements:

• Must have obtained an Associates Degree or higher in Nursing.
• Must obtain and maintain a current certification in CPR and Fetal Monitoring. NRP and ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Experience Preferred (at least 1.5 years L&D OR 2-3 years of ICU/ED)
• Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as an RN, preferably in the area of application.
