    This is afull-time, day shift position working 40 hours per week. In this role, you will be workingas a Respiratory Therapy Manager at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital.

    The minimum requirements for this role are:

    Must be a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner

    Must have RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist

    Must have a Bachelor's Degree (Any Field)

    Must have at least 5 years of experience with 2 years in leadership (Lead, Charge, Supervisor, Manager, or Director experience)

    Job Summary:

    Manages operations for respiratory therapy services. Accountable for the quality of patient care in respiratory therapy.

    Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implements departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
    • Assesses the quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
    • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, conflict management, and other job-related issues. Oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
    • Prepares and monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
    • Assists with the development of the vision and goals of service area.
    • Maintains a safe work environment by following established organizational safety standards. Manages safety events involving respiratory therapy.
    • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree


    EXPERIENCE

    • Five years' experience, with two years in leadership

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
    • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
    • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
    • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
    • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
    • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
    • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
    • Rare climbing.
