    We are seeking a PRN Endoscopy / GI RN for our Resource Float Pool to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.     As part of the Elite Endoscopy / GI Nursing Float Pool, t he RN is responsible for assessing the operative nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN is responsible for providing care, which is appropriate for age specific (pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics), the developmental and safety needs, the planned procedure, and the anesthetic agent used. The RN will communicate and educate the patient and/or their family members and/or significant others regarding events pertinent to their care. The RN also anticipates and plans for the needs of the surgical team and coordinates the care provided in the endoscopy room while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment.

    Education / License / Certifications:
    • ADN required, BSN preferred, required within 24 months of hire
    • Current Texas RN License
    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
    • Professional Nursing Organization Membership strongly encouraged.
    • Certification in area of specialty preferred.
    Experience:
    • Minimum 18 months experience within an acute care hospital, with a minimum one year in procedural Endoscopy.
