    Manual Machinist

    At Texwrap we make components for our own machines. The manual machinist would primarily finish features on parts coming from the CNC mills and lathes, laser department and waterjet. This position would also make modifications to existing parts to help customize the machine to meet the customers needs.

    • Program and run parts
    • Broach keyways
    • Add finish details to parts
    • Follow instructions to complete parts
    • Read and interpret blueprints including material gauge and tolerances
    • Make sure all jobs are recorded within MRP system and quantities are accurately counted
    • Perform first/last article quality check, routing per guidelines and check for burrs
    • Follow all safety policies within work center
    • Work to achieve routing times
    • Keep work area clean

    Requirements

    • High school diploma
    • 2 years technical training
    • 3-5 years experience
    • Detail and quality oriented
    • Good attendance
    • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
    • May require lifting of parts and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
