    Job Shift: Shift 1
    Shift Details: Per Diem for the emergency room at Midstate and HOCC crisis clinician, LCSW required

    Job Summary


    Dutiesof a Behavioral Health Clinician include:

    • Performs psychiatric evaluations of patients at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and MidState Medical Center to determine mental health/substance abuse care needs.
    • Provides direct clinical psychosocial therapy to patients, utilizing individual, group and family therapies.
    • Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and age specific treatment and care.

    Qualifications

    • Masters degree in Social Work required
    • ActiveLCSW in the state of Connecticut required
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care/hospital setting
    • Regional travel is required between New Britain and Meriden campuses
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong documentation and computer skills
    • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
    • Bi-lingual in Spanish or Polish highly preferred
