    Position Summary

    Salary range for this position is $57,500 - $72,000 based on experience.

    This position is responsible for administering training programs targeted at driver and mechanic safety procedures and accident/incident protection and prevention.

    Essential Functions
    • Monitor and train driver trainers who conduct training of new drivers
    • Travel to terminals to conduct safety training meetings
    • Travel to site of vehicular, passenger and employee accidents/incidents to assist with investigation and determination of cause and preventability
    • Represent Company regarding safety, security and insurance legal matters
    • Observe employees engaged in their daily work activities, identify areas of concern and determine appropriate action to correct behavior
    • Conduct random safety and security audits of assigned facilities
    • Ensure compliance and provide guidance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements and regulations
    • Serve as local company contact for the DOT and OSHA


    Qualifications

    Qualifications
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Associate degree or some post-secondary education preferred
    • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
    • 2 years transportation industry experience
    • 50-80% travel
    • Fuels and Chemical experience
