We are seeking a motivated, driven Fixed Assets Accountant, who is looking to accelerate career growth within the largest privately-held rigid plastics manufacturer in North America.In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a key member of our Fixed Asset team.

You Will:

• Identify, track, and audit Plastipak -owned plant, property, and equipment.
• Review projects for proper accounting treatment.
• Create, budget, and release approved projects in SAP project systems.
• Review and Maintain capital, customer-funded and R&D projects.
• Reconcile PP&E and customer-funded general ledger accounts.
• Capitalize assets as they are placed in service.
• Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Prepare Ad Hoc reports as needed.
• Work with sites to track asset movements and disposals.
• Perform asset and key control audits.
• Work with IT department to develop SAP improvements for fixed assets and project systems.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related degree.
• 2-4 years of accounting or related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel 10% -15%
