    Safety Manager

    About the Role:

    The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring employee adherence to company safety policies and procedures. This position supports projects throughout designated geographical locations.

    MYRE serves customers participating in a nationwide engineer-procure-construct (EPC) delivery. MYRE works on a wide range of projects and EPC contracting services, including large transmissions and substation projects, complete solar facilities, and energy storage.

    This is a traveling positionencompassing work-sites in the assigned project area. We offer designated weekly per diem in additional to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage on-going safety program
      Work with Operations to ensure proper safety staffing
    • Verify fieldwork compliance with federal, state and local regulations, company policy, and industry best practices
    • Audit and provide meaningful feedback, leadership, and guidance to safety engineers
    • Coordinate cross-training and conduct training as necessary
    • Assist management with methods to improve safety practices and procedures
    • Conduct and report on advance notice and no-notice inspections, surveys, and evaluations
    • Receive, review, and participate with the development of accident briefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reports
    • Provide technical and professional assistance to eliminate or control unsafe behavior and environmental factors
    • Provide progress reports on safety activities, safety reports, and safety studies
    • Regular and predictable attendance
      Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
      Understand and comply with the
    • Companys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable

    About You:

    Qualifications

    • Experience with OSHA record keeping, reporting and Method of Procedure (MOP) writing
    • Experience in job hazard & safety analysis within the transmission and distribution industry
    • Experience in the field of transmission and distribution line construction
    • Management experience within a safety role
    • Safety or related technical undergraduate degree (such as CSP)
    • Safety related credentials (e.g., OSHA 501, OTI certifications, etc.)

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Experience with Risk Management
    • Effective communicator
    • Strong written and oral communications skills
    • Reliable and punctual
    • Self-starter and team player
    • Positive attitude
    • Valid drivers license
      Knowledge of utility and construction safety programs
    • OSHA/DOT related experience
    • OSHA 10, 30, and 500 (Train the Trainer) Certified
    • Basic computer and typing skills
    • Knowledge of OSP (OSHA Strategic Partnership)

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary commensurate with experience ($102,600-$128,100) with weekly pay.Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
