    Telework: Potential for hybrid telework

    Accountant II

As a member of a dynamic and growing finance organization, this team member will prepare invoices to customers, reconcile billing and revenue, assist with new project setup, open new projects, receive training on other Finance team responsibilities, and perform other financial tasks as requested.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review Project setup to confirm accounting system will process revenue and billings correctly
    • Generate contract invoices for bi-weekly and monthly periods and submit to customers
    • Reconcile billing, revenue, and unbilled amounts at multiple levels
    • Process contract closeout transactions to include evaluation of contract funding for deobligations
    • Cross-train within team for more dynamic company support (may include accounts payable, payroll, or any other tasks among the team)
    • Special projects as assigned

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • 1-3 years of applicable accounting experience
    • 1-3 years of experience with multiple types of contracts (CPFF, FFP, T&M) and accounting of each
    • Attention to detail
    • Experience in processing accounting transactions
    • Experience in an office or business environment
    • Experience in Microsoft office products, especially Excel

    Preferred Skills & Experience:??

    • Unanet GovCon software experience
    • Knowledge of the JTR, FAR, GAAP, DCAA billing requirements, government contracting

    Education:??Bachelors degree and 1-3 years of experience

    Clearance: The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

    Travel: Travel to other SimV offices/locations may be needed occasionally

    Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidates experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

    The projected annual compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
