    The Licensed Practical Nurse works within the framework of the Patient Care Services Organization as a member of the health care team. The primary responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse is to deliver patient care under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse within the realm of the New York State Practice Act.

    This is full time position, night shift.

    There are two Vascular Surgery Units. One unit consists of 16 beds with 6 private rooms and 5 semi-private rooms. The other Vascular Surgery unit has 20 beds with 2 private rooms and 9 semi-private rooms. The patient population served in these units includes acute and chronically ill surgical patients. The primary disease focus includes patients with vascular disease and surgical patients requiringtelemetry monitoring. The age of the patients ranges between 18 and 90+ withthe majority ofthe patients between 45-65 years. Plans of care in use include but are not limited to:Carotid Endarterectomy,Lower Extremity Revascularization,Renal Stenting,Vascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Patients.

    Education requirement:
    Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
    Must hold current New York State registration or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York and current BLS certification.
