We need a results-oriented Senior Project Manager to support the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Centers (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division at Fort Meade, MD.
This isn't just any job. The SE&I Division serves as the hub for systems engineering and enterprise architecture, and as the technical authority for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications within the Department of Defense. Our customer, led by the Commander, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), applies subject matter expertise and best practices to translate mission and operational requirements into solutions and operational capabilities.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, government product and process owners, and stakeholders to ensure that the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) are executed. This role requires knowledge of SAFe principles and excellent leadership skills.

What will you do in this role?
Interface between customer and project teams to ensure on time delivery of administrative and engineering products.
Lead and direct next level down Project Managers responsible for management of tasks being worked at the team-level (e.g., architecture, configuration management, standards, etc.).
Work closely with other Project Managers, Program Managers and customer leaders to ensure workflows are executed as intended.
Create project plans and engage all team members on project goals and task assignments.
Foster an agile mindset across the contractor team and SE&I organization based on the customers needs and priorities.
Function as a servant leader and enable the smooth execution of Program Increments (PIs) and associated planning/review activities.
Lead and enable the activities of the SAFe Release Train, ensuring that all teams collaborate effectively.
Organize and facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning events, ensuring that all teams align their priorities and synchronize their work towards the customers program goals.
Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and project status reviews.
Find and help remove impediments, obstacles, and roadblocks that may hinder team productivity or program success.
Drive continuous improvement through adapting SAFe practices and processes for the SE&I customer environment.
Present reports describing project progress, issues, and resolutions.
Coach teams and individuals on SAFe principles and practices.These qualifications are required...
Currently hold active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
The successful applicant must possess one or moreof the following:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering Management, Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science.
DAWIA Certification in Program Management (practitioner level).
ITIL Foundation Level certification.
Bachelors degree and 8 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 10 years of prior relevant experience to include:
5+ years Military Experience managing DoD communication systems and/or a DoD Program of Record and
5+ years of Program/Project Management experience in an IT or engineering environment.
In-depth knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and application of the Framework within a technical/engineering environment.
One or more Agile practitioner certifications, including Scaled Agile Framework, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner, AgilePM Foundation (APMG), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (SAFe POPM).
Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and deliver presentations.
Experience using Agile-related management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Teams).
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Experience using Microsoft Visio to create visualizations of processes and organizational structures.
Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3), National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC) or Senior Leader Command, Control and Communications System (SLC3S) knowledge or direct experience.
Experience working with Nuclear C3 community stakeholders such as Air Force, Navy, NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC), USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM, the Joint Staff, and OSD.Original Posting Date:

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
