    Quality Engineering Technician

Positions starts @ $25.00 per hour.

    Position Overview:
    Assists Quality Engineering in the handling and management of customer Material Review Board (MRB) activities and Internal Method Sheet (IMS) management through the Engineering Change Notification (ECN) process

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Creating IMS documents (i.e., work instructions) and editing revisions
    • Processing ECNs as assigned by the Quality Manager
    • Assisting Quality Engineers in reviewing purchase orders as directed
    • Assisting Quality Engineers with internal MRB coordination and activities, and with external submissions through the use of customer web-based systems and portals
    • Assisting Quality Engineers in maintaining MRB records to ensure quick and easy retrieval in the future
    • Assisting Quality Engineers with customer returns
    • General understanding of customer drawings and specifications
    • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
    • Performing internal quality audits (e.g., Patch and Wrap department)
    • Maintaining the customer-assigned serial number accountability logs and document archive
    • Working with the shop floor personnel and Engineering in the creation of new and revised IMSs, to ensure they are comprehensive and effective
    • Adhering to all safety polices, practices, and procedures
    • Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures
    • Ability to work overtime

    Education:
    • Associates Degree or appropriate relevant industry experience. High school Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Experience: Prior Quality Function and Documentation Control experience strongly preferred.
    • Certifications/Licenses: None
    • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
      • Familiarity with internal and external quality requirements.
      • General understanding of customer specifications.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Office Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
      • 3+ years of quality experience preferred
      • Familiaritywith Oracle or other ERP system is desirable.
