Reporting Structure: The Labor and Delivery Nurse Coordinator will report directly to the Nurse Manager of L&D. They will be supported by experienced and highly trained Obstetric RN Nurses and staff.

Job Responsibilities for the Labor and Delivery Nurse Coordinator

• Oversee the daily operations of the Labor and Delivery unitCollaborate with the Director and Manager of the Labor and Delivery department to develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and protocols
• Provide leadership and support to the nursing team, facilitating their professional development and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Act as a resource and mentor for staff, assisting in complex patient cases and guiding best practices
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and newborns, following infection control and safety protocols
