Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will have the opportunity to provide oversight of the catastrophe analytics team as well as maintains holistic capital modeling from economic, rating agency and regulatory perspectives. Core responsibilities include ongoing refinement of modeling capabilities, risk assessment and strategic insight into implications of multiple Enterprise initiatives.Compensation Minimum:$219,000 yearCompensation Maximum:$373,000 yearCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.
Primary Accountabilities
- Lead and oversee a catastrophe analytics team with responsibility for evaluating exposure concentrations, impact of our decisions on catastrophe volatility, and enhancing current capabilities through ongoing evaluation of efficacy of existing models and foreseeable changes to exposure evaluation (e.g., frequency and severity adjustments due to climate).
- Lead and oversee holistic capital modeling team responsible for managing capital adequacy measured by proprietary metrics as well as rating agency and regulatory thresholds, which requires clear communication of impact of current and proposed business strategies on all such metrics and advice on strategic initiatives viewed via impact on both a department and Enterprise level.
- Oversee all communications with rating agencies including completion of surveys and questionnaires as well as annual articulation of financial position, operating results and strategy along with updates as needed.
- Lead with influence and expertise and contribute to division and department leadership team.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions or service.
- Demonstrated experience in both catastrophe analytics and capital modeling and allocation, with demonstrated experience using analytical, statistical and conceptual techniques;
- Transform disparate datasets to gain effective and efficient significant risk assessments and capital allocation. You will also evolve the ability to evaluate impact of changing terms and conditions at a granular level.
- Lead with influence and expertise while articulating specialized and complex topics.
