This trusted 200-bed Hospital in the Greater Bay Area is actively seeking a Manager to lead the Pulmonary Care department. This person will join an excellent clinical services program at a health system that has a great reputation for patient care. This facility has been a staple of the community for over 50 years, and has earned awards and recognition for going above and beyond.
Reporting to the Regional Director of Pulmonary Services, the Respiratory Care Program Manager will primarily lead a team of Respiratory Therapists in an inpatient environment. This person will also have the chance to support outpatient respiratory therapy programming through the community clinics, family practices, and long-term care programs associated with the hospital.
This is the perfect growth opportunity for a CA Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner who has 5+ years of experience leading clinical operations, to take on a formal, titled role in hospital leadership. Youll receive mentorship and direction from a tenured inpatient ancillary services leaders, and youll be given the opportunity to grow and develop.
The Pulmonary / Respiratory Care Manager will serve as the subject matter and practice expert for high-acuity pulmonaryconditions. Working in concert with Nursing and Physician Leadership, the Respiratory Care Manager will treat both inpatient and ambulatory populations with conditions such as chest infections, pneumonia, emphysema, and asthma. This Manager will also serve as the resident Blood Gas Technologist, so licensure in this field will be required.
Importantly, the Manager of Respiratory Care will serve as both a clinical and administrative resource for this Respiratory Therapy Department. This person will be on the front line of patient education and clinical care, and directly support nursing education in the process. The Manager will also have responsibility for owning regulatory compliance and survey readiness for this service line, as well as fiduciary oversight of its operations.
