    Dispensary Lead

    Overview: The Retail Floor Lead is responsible for supporting Retail Associates during operating hours for the purpose of ensuring smooth and effective customer interactions and sales. The Retail Floor Lead will foster, facilitate and support sales goals as directed by the Retail Manager by working both with team members and customers directly. The Retail Floor Lead is responsible for working within Maine Adult Use program regulations per East Coast Cannabis best practices.

    Retail Floor Lead Responsibilities:

    Opens or closes the Retail Store following the Manager Opening and Closing checklist.

    Assists Retail Associates in managing customer flow including processing transactions and assisting in high touch customer interactions. Does currency exchange between

    Retail Associate registers and the currency fund to provide smaller denominations to sales team as needed. When directed by leadership, will prepare daily deposit and report to accounting as needed. Ensures that Retail Associates provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and presentable store, delegating as necessary and reporting and team concerns to the Assistant Manager or Store Manager.

    Acts as store leader when the Assistant Retail Managers or Store Manager is not on site or available.

    Absorbs and receives incoming inventory from cannabis and non-cannabis vendors following the inventory receipt protocol and checklist. Performs basic inventory management including daily counts and reconciliation and follows company best practices for inventory storage, handling and movement.

    Demonstrates proficient product knowledge and an ability to accurately represent all retail products to ECC brand standards. Relays product knowledge, specifications and information to customers as a representative of the East Coast Brand, using language and information in line within brand values and standards. Acts as a resource on all products and brand information for other retail team members.

    Demonstrates proficient cannabis knowledge on topics such as, but not limited to, industry trends, local regulations, ECC testing, growing and manufacturing methodologies and general cannabis science. Acts as a resource for other team members in these areas.

    Merchandises and zones store inventory to maintain brand aesthetics.

    Performs general cash handling of customer transactions and register counting.

    Follows ECC security best practices and basic protocols.

    Performs basic maintenance and updates to in-house menus, displays and literature.

    Education: Some college required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience: A minimum of 3 years customer service experience required. Sales, retail or restaurant experience preferred. Cannabis industry experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

    Position Specific Skills: Ability to articulate product specifications. Demonstrated ability to utilize basic retail sales techniques. Ability to work towards and achieve staged sales goals. Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining strict accuracy on compliance tasks. Leadership skills and critical thinking skills required.

    Personal Characteristics: Outgoing personality, friendly and customer engaging, team forward perspectives.

    Required: Must be 21 years or older and be able to pass a state required background check.

    Physical Abilities: Must be able to stand for long shifts. Must be able to lift up to

    50lbs.

    Job Type: Full Time- Monday-Friday / Weekends as Needed/. Afternoon/Evening Shift 1:00pm-9:00pm.

    Salary

    $20 - $20 USD per hour

    Required Skills

    • A minimum of 2 years in a customer service role in a retail or hospitality environment
    • Minimum 21 years of age (or as required by state regulations)
    • A minimum of a High School diploma is required
    • Intermediate-level math skills
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to solve and resolve problems in a calm, professional, and courteous manner
    • Strong computer-based skills
    • Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Personal experience with cannabis
