The next Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist will be joining a community hospital that houses close to 400 licensed beds. The Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist assumes responsibility for staff orientation, competency assessment, and professional development of the organizations clinical staff on the assigned unit/department. They will have the ability to Foster teamwork within and across units/departments. The Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist will be working closely with the surgical leadership and quality improvements teams to enhance procedures and protocols related to patient care. With the support of the Nurse Manager and Director of Surgical services, the Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist will hone in on their vast surgical experience to serve as a resource of surgical knowledge and aid in the decisions made for the surgical services department.
